Skateboard Deck Sizing
The size of the deck that you ride is a personal preference really. There is a general rule of thumb on the ratio of your size of foot to the size of the board (just based on not wanting your foot hanging off from your board being too small or having your board be too big which will be harder to maneuver but may give more stability.) It all depends on what you are trying to do with your board. Do you want to cruise down the street, flip it under your feet, or drop it into a bowl?
Our standard popsicle sizes range from 8.00”, 8.25”, 8.5”, 8.75” wide with a length of around 31”-32” long.
If you want to flip the board quicker, carry it easier, jump higher, learn to ride; go with an 8".00”- 8.25” board.
If you want more stability or to do vert/pool skating go with an 8.5”-8.75” board.
People often start skating on a 7.75”-8.00” size board, but I often recommend getting a higher size if you want more stability when learning to ride.
Deck Concave
Some people like to ride a board with a flatter concave which feels more comfortable on their foot, while others want to be able to flip the board more easily or have their foot curve into the pockets of the board. Steeper concaves can make it easier to do certain tricks. It’s also a personal preference. The original skateboards had no concave at all. Most of our boards have a medium/mellow concave to cater to most people’s preference.
The Instructor Jacket Sizing
These instructor jackets run big. I highly recommend sizing down from your “normal” size. See attached size chart for measurements in inches.
Socks Sizing
I worked on creating these custom skate socks for a smaller foot in mind because I would always go to skate shops and buy socks and they’d be one size fits all, meaning huge foot sized. Sizing: US Womens 6-10/ Mens 5-9. Dimensions of 7” + 8” are taken flat and un-stretched.
